Partnership with UQ & Healthcert

It is well recognized that the University of Queensland provides much of the education of Primary Care skin practitioners through the UQ Masters degree and the regular courses run by Health Cert. SCSA and now SCCANZ has always had excellent relationships with UQ and a number of our members are on the academic staff. We have been in discussions for several months with both UQ and Health Cert to rationalize the educational opportunities which we provide.

It has been decided that as from 2009 most educational activities will be conducted on a joint co-badged basis with UQ through Health Cert. This will avoid unnecessary duplication, remove an administrative burden from SCCANZ, and improve the variety and standard of courses whilst maintaining a required revenue stream.

The results of this initiative are already being realized with a new on-line course in Dermatohistopathology to appear in 2009.
