A. Introductory Level

  • Assumes no prior specific knowledge in skin cancer
  • Designed to meet the needs of medical practitioners who are interested in practising primary care skin cancer medicine
  • Ideal for mainstream general practitioners, dermatology nurses, rural doctors and overseas trained doctors

Recommended courses/educational events:

 

1. General Skin Cancer Medicine:
  • SCCANZ Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine – self-directed 40 hour study programme and written examination using prescribed textbooks, online course and CD training material – prerequisite for Skin Cancer Practice Accreditation as well as being Part 1 of the Fellowship of SCCANZ training programme
  • Annual SCCANZ Skin Cancer Conference : 3 days of lectures & smaller group breakout sessions with international & Australian experts - Gold Coast Sheraton Mirage - Anzac Day long week-end - 24th 26th April. The International Dermoscopy Masterclass will follow from 27th - 30th April.
2. Dermoscopy:
  • Australian Dermoscopy Diploma: 24 week course conducted once a year using face-to-face lectures, web-based learning and dedicated tutor interaction
  • SCCANZ Skin Cancer Blogsite : Daily cases presented and discussed by dermoscopists from all around the world – free to SCCANZ members
3. Skin Cancer Surgery:
  • SCCANZ Certificate of Advanced Skin Cancer Surgery - 2010 dates to be announced soon. This 3 day practical workshop run by specialists and Fellows of SCCANZ, is designed for intermediate and advanced level skin cancer doctors

B. Intermediate/Advanced Level

  • Assumes experience in skin cancer medicine
  • Designed for skin cancer clinic doctors and nurses as well as GPs with a special interest in skin cancer
  • Ideal for graduates of the UQ Certif PCSCM
