Structure of SCCANZ

The SCCANZ Council is comprised of nine members, the executive Committee and five other postions. The Executive Committee consists of four members, the President, Vice-President, the Secretary and the Treasurer. The remaining five positions are made up of the Censor-in-Chief and four other members. These four other members must be actively involved in coordinating College activities and typically would chair various Committees or working groups.

Positions on the College Council are decided by general membership election every two years. However, to assist with the transition from SCSA to SCCANZ in the initial set up period, members of this inaugural Council were elected by the former SCSA Committee with their period of service being 12 months. The first general election for Council positions will be held at the 2010 AGM. The Executive will be responsible for the day to day management of the college, and will inevitably have more regular communication, and be busier, than the other Council members who will act in a more strategic and guidance capacity. As there are 5 other councilors they will have the ability to override the Executive if need be.
