For Doctors
Welcome to the website of Australia’s leading primary care skin cancer organisation! SCCANZ, the largest and most respected primary care skin cancer group in Australasia, evolved from the Skin Cancer Society of Australia, which was founded in 2005. In partnership with the University of Queensland Medical School, SCCANZ is now able to offer GPs, skin cancer doctors and practice nurses the world’s most comprehensive suite of skin cancer training courses. This world-class, integrated programme includes basic and advanced Certificate courses in dermoscopy, skin surgery, histopathology and general skin cancer medicine, the UQ Master of Medicine programme and the SCCANZ Fellowship training programme.
As well as these high quality training initiatives, SCCANZ, in partnership with the RACGP, is also proud to offer Skin Cancer Practice Accreditation to certified skin cancer doctors, commencing in 2009. Certification is attained by passing the SCCANZ "Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine", attaining the "UQ Master of Medicine (Primary care Skin Cancer Medicine)" or completing the RACGP/ACRRM "Certificate in Primary Care Skin Cancer Management" course.
The SCCANZ Council would like to extend an invitation to all doctors and practice nurses who work in skin cancer medicine, to join this exciting College and take advantage of the many and varied educational and research opportunities available.
