    Australian Diploma of Dermoscopy
 SUMMARY

The Skin Cancer College of Australia and New Zealand's  Australian Diploma of Dermoscopy is designed specifically for Australasian primary care providers and relevant to the clinical material encountered in day to day practice in our region.

Whilst the Diploma is intended to be suitable for complete novices, it will enable those already using dermoscopy an opportunity to significantly enhance their skills. Graduates will be expected to be competent in the diagnosis of pigmented skin lesions at near expert level. Unique features of the Diploma include the allocation of an experienced tutor to each student, to offer support and feedback, live  biweekly video teleconferences and the use of high resolution quality images for teaching and assessment.

 DURATION  24 weeks
 DELIVERY

Course delivery combines a two day introductory face-to-face workshop to be held in Brisbane on 4 & 5 Feb 2012 at the Sebel King George Square (click here for venue details), 10 fortnightly online modules, teleconferences, online exams and dedicated tutor interaction.

  • A deposit of $1,000 to be paid at registration with balance due 1 month before commencement of course.

 ASSESSMENT
  • Online examination at end of Semester 1 and at course completion
  • Submission of 20 dermoscopic case reports
  • Participation in and maintenance of a surgical audit using Skin Cancer Audit Research Database (SCARD)
